Meet the Cats
Come meet the characters and personalities on our farm. Each cat holds a special place in our hearts, and we are honoured they have allowed us to get to know them. Here we go:

Neroni the wise
The alpha male of the farm. Neroni is a gentle giant, but a fighter. He has been protecting La Fontanella for at least 9 years, and has the tattered ears and scars to prove it. Neroni was well established when we moved into the farm, and he has been a loyal and loving protector.

Mooki the mischievous
Mooki was born on the farm in 2018 and is an affectionate and intelligent girl. The matriarch of the outdoor cats. All the cats love Mooki, as do we. Mooki is a very interactive cat and a sweetheart. She loves to patrol the farm with us as we stroll through the olive grove in the evening. Always by our side, Mooki is the top girl cat on the farm.

Gemma and Gemmi - Gemini Twins
Born in 2019, sisters to Mooki. Gemma and Gemmi are always together and work as a team. A little shy they keep a safe distance from us, but are always around to supervise our activities. Gemmi is mum to Stevie and Robin, Gemma their much loved aunt.

Clever Treva
Treva was born in 2019 and is niece of Mooki. A sweet girl, with beautiful colouring, Treva likes to patrol the farm and make sure all is in order. Treva is a great huntress and ensures there is no vermin on the farm, and she and Mooki are best friends, always running around together and having fun.

Baghy the Bold
Baghy is brother to Treva and Pip, nephew of Mooki, and cousin of Gemma and Gemmi. Baghy is a beautiful cat, who likes to keep an eye on things from a distance. When we are working on the farm you can be sure to see him, at a safe distance watching to ensure we are doing things correctly. If there is food available you can guarantee Baghy will appear, then we can stroke him. A very sweet cat with a beautiful voice.

Tig-tastic
Tig is the alpha cat in charge of the indoor cats. A gentle giant Tig is almost twice the size of the other indoor cats, but is so gentle, soft and cuddly, with fur like cashmere. Tig was found as a tiny kitten on the road outside our house, crying. He must have lost his mum, so we brought him inside as he was too little to survive outside on his own. He is a cherished member of the family. Born in 2019.

Poppy - Mrs Tig
Poppy was also born in 2019 and appeared as a tiny kitten outside our front door shortly after we found Tig. Poppy is a petite cat with beautiful eyes and oh so very gentle. She has very thick fur. very soft but like a pelt and requires a lot of brushing – which she loves. As she arrived as a tiny kitten, we brought her inside, and she and Tig made an instant bond. They sleep together and are usually curled up together. You can see Poppy gets quite cross (in her gentle way) if she does not get her Tig time!

Pip - Mr Grumpy
Pip was born in 2019, is brother to Treva and Baghy, nephew to Mooki and cousin of the Gemini twins. Pip is also first cousin once removed of Stevie and Robin. Pip is a beautiful cat, so very photogenic, but oh so nervous. If we are sitting down he will come for lots of cuddles, but if we are standing up he is nowhere to be seen. He is a loner and gets very upset and growls when the other cats come near him A bit of a food monster, he can get very nippy when it comes to kitty kat dinner time – best feed him first!

Robin - Captain Crash
Robin was born in 2020 and is brother to Stevie, and son of Gemmi. Robin is adorable. A little bit of a clown, and the most clumsy cat. He is not very good at calculating jumps, and frequently ends up on the floor in a heap. So very cuddly, Robin came inside the house as he needs to be looked after, unlikely he would have survived outside. Such a sweet boy, Robin is our little shadow as he follows us around all day. His favourite pastime is lying on his back in our laps, paws in the air making dumplings, having his tummy rubbed. Robin doesn’t “meow” he grunts, which is adorable.

Gorgeous Girl One-Eyed-Stevie
Where to begin. Stevie was born in 2020 and is brother to Robin, daughter of Gemmi, Granddaughter of Mooki, niece of Gemma, and first cousin once removed of Pip, Baghy and Treva. Stevie was born with two eyes, but sadly in addition to an eye infection we were treating, she managed to get a wheat germ inside her eye socket which created an extra layer of difficulties, and she ended up having to lose an eye as a tiny wee kitten. To manage her post surgery needs she came inside the house and was the perfect patient. Stevie is the most adorable cat, she has the softest most luxurious fur, like velvet, and she is so cuddly, and boy she loves her cuddles. She is the top girl cat in the house and likes to keep an eye on things.

Libby Long Legs
Arrived in our house on Farmer Cam’s birthday in 2021. Just when we thought our cat quota was full, early one morning I found the tiniest kitten around the food bowls for the outdoor cats. We have no idea where she came from, we assume she lost her mum and followed one of our cats home, no matter, she came inside as she was too tiny to survive outside alone, and has become a loved part of the family. She is very affectionate, and boy does she love her food. We have to separate her from the other cats at dinner time or she will eat everyone’s food! She is a sweet cat who loves to play with the other cats, and is a chatter box which we love.
